What is Symprex Out-of-Office Manager?

Symprex Out-of-Office Manager is a solution to allow central management of the out-of-office settings and messages within an organisation. Designated users like receptionists, secretaries and team leaders can view and change the out-of-office settings and message for any user in the organisation with minimal effort. For example:

  • Receptionists can enable an out-of-office message when an employee calls in sick.
  • Receptionists can ensure that out-of-office messages are enabled for employees during holiday periods.

How does Symprex Out-of-Office Manager work in an Exchange 2007 environment?

The enhanced Out-of-Office Assistant settings available in Outlook 2007 in an Exchange 2007 environment are not yet available in Out-of-Office Manager. You can set an out-of-office reply, and it will work in the same way as in earlier Outlook versions (the same reply will be enabled for both internal and external senders, and it will be sent to anyone outside the organisation).
